Project: Two-Storey Timber-Frame House in Barnhouse Style

Construction began with the installation of a foundation — a monolithic reinforced concrete slab, which is an optimal solution for the soil conditions of the Leningrad region with a high groundwater level.

The load-bearing structure is built using Canadian platform-frame technology with kiln-dried softwood lumber. The walls are insulated with mineral wool and sheathed externally with Isoplaat windproof boards, providing additional rigidity and protection against air infiltration.

The roof is made of standing seam metal in an anthracite color, featuring two skylights for natural lighting of the upper level.

The façade is clad with thermally modified wood in a dark brown shade, which requires no periodic painting and retains its appearance for decades. An open terrace with a portal made of natural-colored glued laminated timber creates a warm accent against the dark façade.

The plot is enclosed with a комбined fence: gabion pillars filled with natural stone and a graphite-colored metal picket fence — creating a clean, cohesive design that matches the house style.
